Open Decks, After Dark & A Dose of Comedy

The clouds are starting to back off as this week builds toward a stacked Thursday. The MIT Museum goes after dark with live music and a cash bar while Acquired Taste Comedy sets up at First Street Market. Across town, 10 DJs take turns at The Smoot Standard's open decks dance night while another classic singles bash takes over at Bow Market.

Country Nights in Camberville

The Armory goes full dancehall on Saturday with 7,000 square feet of swing, two-step, and line dancing. It's Easter weekend too, so Lamplighter hides eggs across the taproom, Bow Market lets you adopt a stuffed bunny, and The Burren wraps things up Sunday with live blues and a dance lesson. Rain's in the forecast but not until you've had your fun.

Oh, and April is the last full month to check out the immersive Sistine Chapel Exhibition at Cambridgeside so make sure to stop by.

Vintage Nights, First Dates & Sunday Swaps

Cold air, full calendar. Friday kicks off with a vintage vinyl and art night market in Davis where you can dig through crates, get your cards read, and post up at the cash bar. Saturday packs the most punch: bouldering, Wii Sports, archery, and a salsa carnival that doesn't quit until late. And with three speed dating nights spread across the weekend, your thumbs can finally take a break from swiping.

Museum Nights & March Skies

Cloudy skies, longer nights, and a week that shifts toward nights out. The museum opens late with DJs, gallery access, and hands-on art, while drawing sessions, craft meetups, and a chowder crawl keep things moving across Cambridge and Somerville. Not a headline-heavy week—just a solid run of things worth stepping out for.

5Ks & Spring Side Quests

Spring’s first weekend shows up with miles, matches, and hopefully limited rain. The Get Lucky 5K brings runners out, while a Sunday afternoon soccer match (I was today years old when I found out Somerville had a professional soccer team), archery lessons and open gym dodgeball games revive the appetite for recreational sports.

Better late than never, right? But if you’ve been meaning to try and meet new people, this is a good week for it. Skip the Small Talk brings structured conversations to Aeronaut, Bow Market hosts a big singles bash, and a rock climbing mixer pairs quick chats with community games. Book lovers can preview the Bow Market Book Fair (sneak peek for the headliner Saturday), while trivia nights, dancing, and food tours keep the midweek calendar moving.
