The walk home's already dark by five, which means Halloween is officially here. Costume parties and bar crawls are popping up from square to square, and it all starts tomorrow when Inmanween takes over Inman Square while Bow Market rolls out a Michael Myers classic for movie night, plus a costume catwalk upstairs.

Saturday stays sunny, so bring the dog out to the Pet Spooktacular in East Somerville for its own costume contest. And after the regattas on the Charles, the Cambridge 5K brings racing back to the river, so get your miles in before the mornings start turning frosty.

And don't forget, the clocks go back Sunday night into Monday, so enjoy the extra hour.
