The theme for this weekend (mostly) is resets, so not even a slight Friday morning drizzle gets in the way. Festivals and block parties take a break until next month as things shift to the morning and midday.

Competition is front and center in the squares too, with Adidas and La Corsa Club combining to see who in the area has the fastest mile at Dilboy. Whether you’re in a run club and want it to take it to the next level or just want a reason to get up early tomorrow, this one’s for you. Speaking of competition, Somerville’s very own professional soccer team is back for the home opener and they’re going to need your help to get the season started.

For a slower weekend, the things to do are endless. Educational and family park outings, fitness classes, matcha movements and smaller intimate theater performances fill out the rest.

Happy Friday.
