The Stoop is jumping into news — neighborhood news that is. At the start of each month, you’ll get a curated drop of what’s buzzing around the squares beyond just the must-go-to events: neighborhood stories, new homes on the market, municipal news, local pets up for adoption/foster, best film pictures, neighborhood bar deals, and much much more. No politics, no AI news, just the stories and vibes around the ville.

For now, these drops will only happen once a month in this same newsletter format and will then quickly expand into other platforms soon after. And as for the weekly Sunday and Thursday night event editions, those will continue as is.

Thanks as always for following along.

When The Stoop launched last summer the whole idea was making it easier for people to find things to do and connect with their neighborhood. That mission hasn't changed, which is why partnering with Skip The Small Talk as this month's events sponsor feels like a perfect fit. What started as a psychology research experiment at T stations turned into a picnic where 500 people showed up expecting to talk to strangers using conversation prompts, and it never really stopped.

Now, Skip the Small Talk hosts events in over 20 major cities where you can skip the awkward intros and meet new people and jump straight into the kind of conversations you usually only have late at night, plus their next monthly event is happening next Monday @ Aeronaut Brewing in Somerville.

Oh, and if you need an extra reason to go, try using the code STOOP20 at checkout for a surprise.
