The last weekend before Halloween almost disguises itself as the big holiday weekend itself, from the Sunday Scaries horror double feature at Remnant to a glass pumpkin patch at MIT.

Speaking of disguises, if you’re already running the Charles or around the squares, you may as well do it in style. Somerville’s monster theme moves from last weekend’s Monster Mash in Union Square to the Monster Dash, a 5K that starts at Baxter Park and loops the Mystic, with prizes for the best costumes.

Not a runner? Dig through 55 tables of vinyl at the Cambridge Record Fair or get a book signed at Lamplighter’s brewery book fair. Singles have options too, from volleyball speed dating at Volo to Skip The Small Talk’s coffee shop night at Cafe Zing.

Enjoy the cool and sunny weekend.
